5. Cancer and Factor V Leiden

Q: Does the chance of getting cancer increase if you have factor V Leiden?

A: No.

It is not likely that there is an association between factor V Leiden (or any other thrombophilic abnormality) and the development of cancer. However, to be scientifically correct, one has to state, that such an association has not been looked for.
